MDB Master 'Debit Card Reader' Sample Application.

Introduction:

With this application 'Reader', the PC is a MDB master and is implemented to control a 'MDB Debit Card Reader'. The Debit Card Reader is connected to the USB port of the PC via the USB to MDB interface. For this sample application a MDB Debit Card Reader of Microtrinic AG type UTL4P160 was used as reference. The MDBEngine function calls 'Reader...' are used to implement this sample application. The project was developed with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 C++. 

Requirements:

• The USB to MDB Interface (Part # BD-4000)

• USB connection cable type A/B (Part # BD-4001)

• MDB master interface cable (Part # BD-4101) (Schematics in PDF)

• Power supply 230VAC/24VDC/1A (Part # BD-1003)

• The MDBEngine DLL

Operating instructions:

Vend cycle: Start debit card reader application. Check the LED's for correct data communication. Click 'Enable' to accept some debit card. Insert a debit card into the reader. The available funds are displayed. Click a Selection. Click 'Vend Success' to confirm the transaction. Click 'Session End' to complete the vend cycle. To Revalue a debit card: Insert a debit card into the reader. The available funds are displayed. Enter some amount to revalue. Click 'Revalue' to add the amount to the debit card. Click 'Session End' to complete the revalue cycle.
